The project
Recladding and redecorating an office block
This multi-storey office block sits on a street corner in Maidenhead town centre, surrounded by shops, offices and parked cars. The works covered cladding and painting across the facade, so the scaffold had to give access to every floor from street level to the roofline, on a site that stays busy with pedestrians and traffic.
How it was scaffolded
We wrapped the building in a full-height scaffold running round its curved corner and along the street elevation, with working lifts at every floor. Blue debris netting encloses the whole structure, containing dust and materials during the cladding and painting work. At street level the uprights are fitted with high-visibility protection, and the scaffold is alarmed against intruders, so it cannot be used to reach the building out of hours.
