Basingstoke · Refurbishment
A fully netted scaffold along the length of a multi-storey block in Basingstoke, for recladding and new window works.
The project
This multi-storey block in Basingstoke runs the length of a street, set back behind a brick boundary wall. The works involved recladding the building and fitting new windows, so every floor of the long elevation needed safe access at once.
We scaffolded the full length of the street elevation up to the roofline and wrapped it round the corner, with a working lift at every floor so the cladding and window fitters could reach every panel and opening. Blue debris netting encloses the whole scaffold, containing dust and offcuts from the recladding, and the scaffold stands behind the boundary wall, leaving the pavement outside clear.
Scaffolded along the whole frontage and round the corner.
Access to every panel and window opening.
Netting containing dust and offcuts from the recladding.
The scaffold stands behind the boundary wall.
