Windsor scaffolders
Windsor is a town where scaffolding has to go up with care. Much of the centre around the castle is listed or within a conservation area, the streets are busy with visitors all year, and many jobs are on period houses, shops and hotels that need protecting while the work goes on.
Eton College, across the river, is among the clients we have carried out work for, and our heritage projects include refurbishment access for an Oxford college and a church tower in Newbury, scaffolded for repointing. We cover the whole town, from the centre to Clewer, Dedworth, Spital and Old Windsor, with Eton, Eton Wick and Datchet across the river.

Ask a questionYes. We cover the whole of Windsor, including Clewer, Dedworth and Old Windsor, and across the river in Eton, Eton Wick and Datchet. Eton College is among the clients we have carried out work for.
You do if the scaffold stands on the pavement or road, and in Windsor, Eton and Datchet the licence comes from the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead. Scaffolding kept within your own property does not need a highway licence. We will let you know at the survey whether yours does.
Yes. Much of central Windsor is listed or in a conservation area. Before any ties go into the historic fabric, check with the Royal Borough’s planning team, and we can share the tie layout with them before work starts. Our heritage work includes an Oxford college and a church tower in Newbury.
Usually, yes. Lattice beams at first-floor level can carry the scaffold over shopfronts, so entrances and the pavement stay clear, as they did at The George Hotel in Reading and on Henley high street. Netting on the lifts above keeps dust and materials away from customers.
Everything we do, from domestic scaffolding for roofs, chimneys and redecoration to commercial scaffolding for shops, hotels and offices, temporary roofs, and heritage scaffolding for historic buildings. We also supply scaffold designs, method statements and inspections.
Our yard is in Tidmarsh, just west of Reading, and Windsor is a straight run east along the M4. That keeps surveys, deliveries and inspections straightforward to arrange.
