Safer working at height
Protection at every edge
Falls from height remain one of the biggest risks on any building site. Scaffold edge protection with guardrails and toe boards stops people and materials falling from roof edges and open floors, scaffold staircases give safer, easier access than ladders, and handrails keep routes and platforms secure. We also supply rubbish chutes, so waste comes down safely instead of being thrown from height. Each is erected by our CISRS-qualified scaffolders and inspected along with the rest of the scaffold.

How it works
From survey to strike
One team looks after your scaffold from the first site visit to the day it comes down.
Survey
We visit the site, measure up and check access, ground conditions and whether a highway licence is needed.
Design & paperwork
The scaffold is specified to TG20:21, or designed bespoke where the structure needs it, with method statements and risk assessments issued before work starts.
Written quote
You receive a clear quotation setting out the scaffold, the hire period and the programme.
Erect & hand over
Our CISRS-qualified team erects the scaffold, then inspects and tags it before anyone uses it.

FAQs
Edge protection, staircases & handrails questions
Straight answers to the things people ask before booking scaffolding. Anything else, just call 0800 2086 905 or 07831 197615.
Ask a questionWhen is edge protection needed?
Wherever someone could fall from an edge, such as a roof edge or an open floor, collective protection like guardrails should be provided. On pitched roofs this is usually scaffold edge protection at the eaves.
Is a scaffold staircase better than a ladder?
Scaffold staircases are easier and safer to use than ladders, particularly for people carrying tools and materials, and they are often required on larger sites.
Can you supply a rubbish chute?
Yes. Rubbish chutes are one of our services. They are fitted to the scaffold so waste comes down safely into a skip.
Can edge protection be added later?
Yes. We can add or adapt edge protection on our scaffolds as your work moves on, for example when the roofers arrive.
Is the scaffold inspected during the hire?
Yes. Scaffolds must be inspected by a competent person before first use, after any alteration or event such as high winds, and at least every seven days. We carry out these checks through the hire and keep the records up to date.
