Netted scaffolds across several blocks of flats in Kings Cross, put up for new windows on both the street and courtyard elevations.
The project
These blocks of flats in Kings Cross, London are set around landscaped courtyards, with homes on every floor. The project was new window works, which meant scaffolding each block so that every window could be reached, on both the street elevations and the courtyard sides, on an estate where people live.
We scaffolded several of the blocks to their full height, up to the eaves of the mansard roofs, on both the street and courtyard elevations. Blue debris netting encloses the scaffolds throughout. On the street side, lattice beams at first-floor level keep the entrances clear below, and site cabins sit in the courtyard car park. Seen from above, netted scaffolds run across block after block.
