A netted scaffold on a corner building on Henley high street for redecoration, with the shops below open and the pavement kept clear.
The project
This corner building sits in the middle of Henley’s high street, with shops at street level and upper floors above. The redecoration meant scaffolding the whole of the upper building while the shops kept trading and shoppers kept using the pavement below.
The scaffold wraps the front, the corner and the side of the building up to the roofline, with debris netting on every lift. The first lift sits above the shopfronts, so shop entrances and windows stay clear and people can walk along the pavement underneath the scaffold. Along the kerb, the uprights are fitted with high-visibility protection.
Entrances and windows left clear beneath the first lift.
The pavement kept open under the scaffold.
Debris netting on every lift over a busy high street.
High-visibility protection along the kerb.
